About Us

Saxton Manufacturing was founded in August 1986 by David Saxton, a qualified chemist with a unique ability to craft high-quality, cost-effective chemical formulations. Encouraged by customers at his former workplace - who were impressed by his deep knowledge and skill - David launched Saxton Manufacturing with the goal of delivering custom chemical solutions that offered both exceptional performance and value.

From day one, every formula was created in-house by David himself, often replicating or improving existing products at a fraction of the cost. Just six months into the journey, his wife Diane joined him, taking on responsibilities in production, packaging and administration, laying the foundation for what would soon become a family-run success story.

By 1990, their son Michael had joined full-time after years of helping out on weekends. Working closely alongside his father, Michael honed his expertise and gradually assumed more responsibility in the day-to-day operations of the company.

In 2004, Michael officially stepped into the leadership role, expanding the business while staying true to the values it was built on: quality, integrity and personal service. Under his guidance, Saxton Manufacturing grew its presence in the education and hospitality sectors, becoming a trusted supplier for schools, colleges, pubs, restaurants and hotels - largely through word-of-mouth recommendations.

As the company continued to flourish, Michael’s wife Hayley joined the team in 2018 as a company director, further strengthening the family involvement and helping support the company’s continued growth and development.

Today, Saxton Manufacturing employs a dedicated team of 10, including two additional family members. Despite growth, the business remains a close-knit, family-led business committed to delivering bespoke chemical solutions with unmatched care and precision.​
